时至今日，徐坦还是保持着他“漫游者”的生活方式。他敏感于社会文化的变化，不停地追问艺术的边界何在。在整个九十年代，徐坦的工作方式更像一个思想者而非仅仅视觉层面上的艺术家，他的一些作品在当时无法定义，而在今天更显其存在的意义。他最近的艺术实践致力于在新的历史情境内重新寻找中国社会/生活的价值何在。
《松了》是徐坦近15年艺术实践以来在中国的第一个个展。他的五件录影作品将会以一种“松驰”的方式在维他命空间展示，在这个展览空间内，身体的松驰感和思想上的紧张感将构成两极体验，由此，徐坦的作品将成为创造和唤醒我们生存经验的平台。
Till today, Xu Tan keeps his life style as a Chinese flaneur. He is sensitive to the social changes. He has never stop questioning the boundary of art. During 90’s, Xu Tan acts like a thinker than a visual artist. Some of his works were difficult to be defined at that time, but becomes more significant today. He is trying to re-discover Chinese life value in new historic context through this recent art practice.
Loose is Xu Tan’s first solo exhibition in China since his art practice. The exhibition will present Xu Tan’s 5 video/ installation pieces in very loose way which reflects the invisible conflicts of Chinese social/culture situations.
