内容简介：大象吉米在马戏团过得好好的，不料被一群乌龙动物环保人士放出，本来可能就这样逍遥一生，没想到吉米身上藏有黑帮犯罪的秘密，因而展开动物保护主义者、黑帮、盜猎者、马戏团等多方势力的大混战。
影片以《瘪四与大头蛋》加上街头涂鸦的笔调，创造出迥异于好莱坞的3D动画风格，大胆床戏与喷溅银幕的血肉横飞，堪称恶烂版《马达加斯加》，是一部充满了讽刺与黑色幽默的电影。影片3D动画风格独特，配乐跟音效都用的很正点，大胆用色的鲜艳对比，实在触目惊心，情绪随着故事的起承转合，令人大笑， 感动，悲伤......
We follow the story of four low life anti-heroes Roy Arnie (Woody Harrelson), Odd (Simon Pegg), Gaz (Phil Daniels) and Flea (Jay Simpson), who are uprooted from their mean city streets to work with Ringmaster Stromowski (Jim Broadbent) in a touring Russian circus in terminal decline. The star attraction is Jimmy, an elephant kept ‘happy’ on a cocktail of drugs. But Roy Arnie has a dream that one day he will run his own circus and he tells the boys that the key to his dream is Jimmy. On the opening night a bungled attempt to give Jimmy his ‘fix’ causes widespread panic. Jimmy escapes and so begins a mad cap cross country road-trip to find Jimmy before he goes cold turkey.
Suddenly everyone wants a piece of Jimmy. A deranged bunch of animal activists led by clean living, straight edged couple Marius (Kyle MacLachlan) and Bettina (Emilia Fox) are after Jimmy to front their cause. A trigger happy Scottish hunting party (James, Cosmo, David Tennant, Douglas Henshall, Russell Barr) think his head would look great mounted on their wall and The Lappish Mafia – the meanest men in the north (The League of Gentlemen - Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton) want to ‘hit’ him for a big payoff. Jimmy’s only chance is a benevolent moose who befriends him on the road. Can he help to Free Jimmy, release him from his addiction and save him from a million dollar secret…

Norwegian Anti-hero to the Top in Annecy
The unhappy elephant, Jimmy, and his four companions became real heroes when they were awarded the main prize at the world’s most prestigious animation film festival in Annecy.
6/19/2007 :: Christopher Nielsen’s debut feature, “Free Jimmy”, received the acclaimed prize at the international film festival on 16 June. Nielsen is both the writer and the director of the Norwegian-British co-production.
Forty-six films were submitted to the festival, but only 9 films were selected to compete in the final round.
Satire and Black Humour
The film follows the story of four low life anti-heroes, Roy Arnie (Woody Harrelson), Odd (Simon Pegg), Gaz (Phil Daniels) and Flea (Jay Simpson). The gang is touring with a Russian circus in terminal decline.
Roy Arnie is dreaming of running his own circus and he tells the boys that the key to his dream is Jimmy. On the opening night the circus is hit by widespread panic and Jimmy runs away. The four friends then begin a mad cap cross country road-trip to find Jimmy.
It is a film filled with satire and dark humour and thoroughly developed characters, as well as overwhelmingly complex images, design and animation.
International Attention
“Fee Jimmy” appeared for the first time at the film festival in Haugesund. Subsequently the feature film was screened at the beach theatre in Cannes in 2006 and since then the film has taken part in numerous festivals around the world.
The film will also be part of a showcase of Nordic Animation at this years ArtFest at the Museum for Comic and Cartoon Art on June 23-24 in New York, which will also feature Nielsen's other comicbooks, amongst them "Homo Norvegicus", which introduced many of the characters featured in "Jimmy".

Treatment: Free JIMMY!
We are in a dark and industrial environment. A night watchman is knocked down. A group of militant animal rights activists enter the research institution that experiments on animals. Cages are opened and animals released, running outside, they come face to face with the pitch-black darkness of “freedom”… They turn around and run back inside where they came from. Sonia, one of the animal activists, liberates some mice. Then she frees a cat. The cat jumps at the mice and kills them. Sonia screams. Her dog, Karma come rushing over and kills the cat.
Outside, with a dead cat and a bunch of dead mice in her arms, Sonia insists on burying them. Finally, the animal activists blow up the entire research institution and make their escape.
