《动物时间》由大量从北京胡同拆除中回收的砖石组成，上面有干支属性的动物石雕，从视觉上给人一种牢固的、绵延不断的历史时间感。
黄锐的作品反映了东西方历史文化的交汇，反映我们对永恒感知的奥妙。不仅如此，他还全新地吸取中国历史：像历史学者那样分析记忆，像预言家那样遥望未来。

“Animal Time” is a huge installation composed of recycled bricks from Beijing demolished Hutongs and Divine Animals sculpted in Stone that together give historical time a visual and solid form – continuous and unbroken.
With this work at the convergence of historical and cultural perceptions of the East and the West, Huang Rui touches upon the mysteries of our understandings of eternity. But he even goes further as he develops his own codes for the History of China: he succeeds in analyzing memories as the historian would and in foreseeing the future as the prophet would.
